Black Butterflies is a powerful short film about complications with child birth, and risks with black motherhood in America.
I had the honor of writing the music for Tamara S. Hall and recording with Legacy Scoring using the unusual ensemble of 4 cellos and 1 bass, something I felt spoke to the dark, emotional space in which the film resides.
The movie is one of the few I've ever heard of airing on TV! It now goes on to festivals, where I'm sure it will do very well.
