Biography

Justin Bell has proven himself very versatile in film, having worked on TV speed schedules (for HBO, NBC, ABC, and Netflix), big budget, grandiose projects (with the Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer), and getting creative and managing tight budgets on numerous independent features and shorts, ranging in styles of beautiful orchestral, subtle ambience, raging synths, bombastic drums, jazz, and indie pop.

 

    Justin is a graduate of the USC Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television Program, Through the program he studied under Eric Schmidt (Uncharted 2, Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, Animaniacs), Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Drag Me To Hell), Garry Schyman (Bioshock trilogy, Dante’s Inferno), Joel McNeely (Dark Angel, Holes, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire), Kenny Hall (E.T., The Mummy), Frederick Wiedmann (Legion, The Reaping), and Patrick Kirst (Sex and the City, Kavi), among others.

 

   Justin then went to assist the composer Johnny Klimek (Run Lola Run, Sense8), learning to work in a team, handling orchestrations, arrangements, and occasionally being given the opportunity to write for various TV and film projects.
